Mr Ed Willett, IPART
Ed Willett has 25 years' experience in competition policy and economic regulation, with a particular focus on the economic regulation of utility services. He was, until mid-2013, a commissioner with the ACCC with particular responsibilities for communications. He chaired the Communications Committee and the inter-jurisdictional Utility Regulator’s Forum for 10 years and was also a member of the Regulation and Prices Monitoring and Adjudication Committees. He also chaired the Energy Committee until 2005 when he was appointed an inaugural member of the Australian Energy Regulator. Prior to his time at the ACCC, Ed was the inaugural Executive Director of the National Competition Council and before that with the Productivity Commission, where he specialised in competition law and economic regulation including being primary author of submissions to the National Competition Policy Review.
