Anna Chau is one of the leading infrastructure economists and senior infrastructure executives in Australia, covering both economic and social infrastructure. As the former Acting CEO and Executive Director (Project Advisory) of Infrastructure Australia, Anna led the evaluation of over 50 business cases for major projects around the country over four years.
Anna’s 30-year career also includes several senior positions in professional services firms such as Technical Director and Chief Economist at AECOM Australia and New Zealand, Principal at Booz & Company, Executive Director at Ernst & Young, and Senior Associate (Technical Director) at Booz Allen Hamilton in the UK.
Anna holds a Master of Commerce in Economics (with High Distinction), a Graduate Diploma in Communications in Social Studies and Journalism, a Bachelor of Business in Finance and Economics (with Distinction). Anna is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Australia, and a member of the Transport Economists Group in the UK and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Anna is currently Principal of Anna Chau Enterprises, which provides economic and strategic advice on a range of infrastructure issues, including business cases, cost-benefit analyses and policy advice.
