Welcome to the NSW Branch Women in Economics Network (WEN). The branch’s WEN is part of a national Women in Economics Network (WEN) that is linked to the Economic Society of Australia that has been formed to promote and support the careers of female economists in Australia.

The Women in Economics Network (WEN) was formed to promote and support the careers in female economists in Australia. The network's activities contribute towards creating a more gender balanced and inclusive economics profession that reflects the diversity of wider society. WEN was officially launched on 20 March 2017 with the support of the Economic Society of Australia. The network has established branches in each State and Territory, and a program of national initiatives and events.

The Young Economists NSW Network is a chapter of the Economics Society of Australia NSW.  If you are still studying or are an early career economist you can join the Economics Society of Australia at a discounted rate.  The Student joining fee is just $20 and the Young Economist rate is $40. This includes membership to both the society and the Network.

Economics is a wide ranging discipline which lends itself to many specialist paths.  As a result there are a number of other economics societies and associations which focus on specialist areas of the discipline. Some of these organisations will provide discounts or other benefits to ESA Members on membership and events.  Listed below are just a few.
