Broadly, the goal of the CBA Community of Practice will be to provide a forum for practitioners to meet and discuss common issues in preparing CBAs for government investment and policy.
Our next Community of Practice meeting will be held on 21 October from 11.15 am - 1.00 pm. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival (no lunch will be served)
The topic will be managing uncertainty in undertaking CBA.

Questions for discussion will include the following:

o How has it affected the selected option?
o The communication of selected options
- What are some of the biases we face in assessing risk and uncertainty?
- What techniques do we use for dealing with uncertainty in CBA?
o Quantitative (e.g. monte-carlo)
o Qualitative (e.g. independent peer-review)
o What about in option design?
- How effective are the techniques?
o In terms of accuracy? What about transparency?
- What do you do when information is simply not available?
