The Chinese economy is going through an uncertain transition, while at the same time Beijing has assumed the presidency of the G20. Join us for an assessment of China’s economy, along with a discussion of its future in the governance architecture with long-time China scholar and economist, David Dollar, hosted by the Lowy Institute’s International Economy Program Director Leon Berkelmans.
David Dollar is a senior fellow with the Foreign Policy and Global Economy and Development programs in the John L. Thornton China Center. He is a leading expert on China's economy and U.S.-China economic relations. From 2009 to 2013 he was the U.S. Treasury's economic and financial emissary to China.
