The Women in Economics Network (‘WEN’) in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Gender Equity Employee Resource Group invite you to a discussion and Q&A with four leading economists:
- Dr Renée Fry-McKibbin – Professor of Economics (ANU) and Monetary Policy Board Member (RBA)
- Sarina Lacey – Principal, the Centre for International Economics
- Diana Mousina – Deputy Chief Economist, AMP
- Dr Pauline Grosjean – Professor Economics, UNSW
The panellists will share stories about their unique career paths and provide insights on the changing landscape of economics as a profession. The conversation will be moderated by Nalini Agarwal, Lead Analyst at the RBA.
The event will be held on Wednesday 26 November at the Reserve Bank of Australia (Sydney) and will be live-streamed. There will be an opportunity to network (and nibble) following the panel discussion.

About the Speakers

Dr Renée Fry-McKibbin is a non-executive member of the Monetary Policy Board at the RBA. She is also a Distinguished Professor of Economics at the ANU’s Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis in the Crawford School of Public Policy, and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia.

Sarina Lacey leads the Centre for International Economics’ Health Economics and Policy practice. She has 28 years economics consulting experience, predominantly at the CIE, as well as 5 years at PwC where she established its national health economics practice. The focus of her work is on advising government and non-government clients on policy and funding issues in the health and human services sector. |

Dr Pauline Grosjean is a Professor in the School of Economics at UNSW, a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, and a Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Her research studies the historical and dynamic context of economic development. In particular, she focuses on how culture and institutions interact and shape long-term economic development and individual behaviour. |

Diana Mousina is the Deputy Chief Economist at AMP. Diana’s responsibilities include providing global economic and macro investment analysis to retail, institutional and internal customers through her regular ‘Econosights’ reports and presentations.
