Is Australia’s housing crisis really just about boosting supply?

Date

From: Wednesday February 4, 2026, 12:30 pm

To: Wednesday February 4, 2026, 1:30 pm

Join us on Wednesday 4 February as Professor Peter Abelson presents his latest work on the NSW Government’s new housing policies and what they mean for communities in Sydney and across the state.

Peter Abelson brings a clear, evidence-based perspective on Australia’s housing reforms and broader housing crisis, informed by five decades as an economist in Australia and abroad, including senior academic roles, government advisory work and service as Mosman’s first popularly elected Mayor.

In this session, he will challenge the notion that Australia’s housing crisis is simply about boosting supply.

Join us from 12.30 - 1.30pm at 123 Pitt Street (Level 24) or online via Microsoft Teams.
