Case Study: Reducing Coastal Hazard Risk at Old Bar - Presentation by John Fountain\, Economist\, Balmoral Group\, Australia

The Balmoral Group undertook a cost benefit analysis of options to protect the NSW coastal community of Old Bar from coastal erosion and sea level rise. The options to reduce the risk from coastal hazards ranged widely\, from property easements to engineering projects.  Balmoral used spatial analysis to assess the impact of options on economic activity\, quality of life\, natural resources and public infrastructure.
