Hon Stephen Jones MP – Member for Whitlam, Assistant Treasurer, and Minister for Financial Services – will deliver the Annual Economic and Social Policy Lecture of 2022.  Minister Jones’s lecture will focus on Australia’s changing workforce and its impact on productivity and innovation. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the way people work has changed: workers are moving out of the cities and into the regions, many are enjoying more flexibility, and the online mode of doing business is becoming indispensable. However, these recent changes have also brought on new challenges, including the loss of intangibles resulting from casual ‘water cooler chats’.
